Pianist Ilya Yakushev in concert

The Grant County Community Concert Association and WNMU Dept. of Cultural Affairs present Ilya Yakushev a world-renowned classical pianist. Ilya's concert will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Gershwin's birth and his beloved Rhapsody in Blue. In addition, he will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Rachmaninoff performing several of his preludes. The concert will include a Beethoven Sonata and Chopin's Nocturn. As a special treat he will perform Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition with a slide show of the paintings that inspired the composer. Individual tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at the Pick Store on Bullard or on-line at gcconcerts.org. Children to age 17 admitted free of charge.
